What is Exercise Physiology?
Exercise physiology is the study of how the body’s systems (e.g. musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and nervous) respond, adapt and change during acute and chronic physical activity.
What is an Exercise Physiologist?
Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university-qualified allied health professionals who prescribe, deliver, and adapt movement, physical activity, and exercise-based interventions to facilitate and optimise health status, function, recovery, and independence. This helps people participate in activities at home, school, work, and in the community.
At SportsFit Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology, we work with a wide range of clients, including those managing chronic health conditions, recovering from injury or surgery, returning to work or sport, and those simply looking to improve general fitness and mobility. Every exercise program is tailored to the individual, ensuring exercises are safe, effective, and aligned with each client’s goals and abilities.
With access to our fully equipped gym onsite – Snap Fitness Taree – clients can complete their exercise programs using the some of the latest cardio and strength equipment in the country, all under the supervision of our experienced team. Clients will also have the option to workout from home, with a tailored ‘home exercise program’, depending on their knowledge, experience, and access to equipment.
Our goal is to empower clients through education and structured exercise, helping them take control of their health and be independent with exercise both inside and outside the clinic. Whether your focus is rehabilitation, prevention, fitness, or performance, we are here to support you every step of the way.
